"Painting the Animals Who Leave Their Prints All Over Your HEART"
I am a 20something Visual Artist Connecting Animal Lovers with Customized & Magical Animal Portraits, a dreamer and qualified ACEHP Hoofcare professional with a day job.
I has a passion for everything Equine (including: behaviour and psychology, nutrition, anatomy and of course my favorite subject, the Equine Hoof - which I find both inside and out truly fascinating: the technical diagrams that adorn my walls disturb most normal people ;) and I love curling up with my cat in a nice comfy spot with with a great book and a cup of chai tea. I also have a fascination for learning about history and ancient myth and legends.
In my spare time I go by the name of Dreamingofdarkhorses, and create soulful animal art, both realistic and whimsical with the help from my ever so mercurial Muse. I am constantly inspired by my animal companions that grace my life, and the power of brilliant stars shining in the heavens above.
My desire is that my art helps to reconnect animal lovers with their amazing four-legged friends and to enable others to see and feel through her art and story that we need to listen to our hearts and our animals rather than to what is traditional or conventional.
That we need to find balance within ourselves and others, that we are not separate from each other or the amazing creatures or in fact the beautiful Earth on which we rest our feet/hooves/paws. That animals do have amazing souls and are able to feel and experience as many emotions as we can. And that in their silence there is so much truth, truth that desperately needs to be heard.

Suffer from any hand pain from drawing/painting? If so, how do you deal with it? Also do you practice painting or drawing at all with your non dominant hand?
My drawing hand started paining last week and has gradually got worse, even though I have been trying to favoure it and use my left hand more. I went to the doctor today, and was told it was from over use and gave me a wrist brace.
The weird thing is that I had extra work at my job last week and didn't do much painting at all, and also can't think of any that would cause it to be over used.. :shrug: I really hope it's nothing more serious that's been over looked.

Sorry I have been terribly inactive lately, been incredibly busy and somewhat stressed out. And all my engergy has been going elsewhere and unfortunately I haven't had much time for dA :( so if any of my watches are seeing this thanks for sticking with me you don't know how much your support and kind comments mean to me!
