She has taken all my words away
Late in the night so dark and cold
She visits me, as she did of old
And looks at me with nicest eyes
Each familiar visit fresh surprise
The words that I had kept away
Hidden for another day
She finds them buried deep inside
It matters not where they hide
For when I tear away my gaze
Leaving thick a mental haze
Those words I had saved
Laboured and slaved
Polished and kept
For a dream that one day off your feet you would be swept
Are gone
